Today Terry is regarded as one the world’s leading coaches of young karting talent – with over 40 years experience in motor racing and 25 as a coach, Terry has guided the early careers of many British, Asian, European and World Championship winning drivers, including no less than four British McLaren Autosport Young Driver of the year Award winners.

Having retired as a racing driver in 1984, Terry has run his own team and coached some of the best talent in karting. These include:
- Force India driver Paul di Resta
- Double Indianapolis 500 winner Dan Wheldon
- Double 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Allan McNish
- 2014 World Endurance Champion and former F1 driver Anthony Davidson.
In an interview with Torque-online Fullerton said he regarded McNish and Davidson as two of his best students.
Fullerton is still just as active as a manager and driver coach in karting today and some of his more recent success has come with three recent British junior champions:
- 2010 Jake Dennis
- 2011 Callan O’Keeffe
- 2013 Jehan Daruvala
